05/09/2008: We are
pleased to announce a new extension to the range is 4mm scale (009) Talyllyn Railway
carriage lettering (NG08/009). This is equally
suitable for freelance modellers in 009. These are pushing
the boundaries of a screen printer's art, and have gold lettering
correctly shaded in 3 further colours. The letters are a mere
1mm in height! Each sheet consists
of a pair of each carriage number from 1 to 25, plus the words 'FIRST',
'THIRD' and 'SALOON'. These are priced at £2.85 per set,
but as an introductory offer will be available through September at only £1.85,
a saving of over a third off the normal price. Should these
prove
popular, further introductions are planned for other narrow gauge
vehicles.
After
much preparation behind the
scenes,
pre-nationalisation 4mm (00) scale locomotive transfers will be
available this month. We now have large stocks of GWR, LMS
& LNER locomotive insignia. It will take a week or so
to trim, label & pack these, but the end is in sight with this
project. For Southern Railway modellers, Maunsell yellow
lettering and numbers are expected later this autumn, having been
delayed from earlier release by technical difficulties.
28/08/2008: With the needs of the pre-grouping modeller in mind, we
have acquired the
former Jackson Evans
4mm
range of LNWR name and number plates. This
includes names and numbers for over 260 locomotives,
representing all popular classes
from the
Premier Line.
24/07/2008:
7mm scale transfers for BR 13T high goods
vehicles in post 1965 livery (7752) are back in stock.
21/06/2008:
We are pleased to announce the reintroduction of Duffield Bank /
Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway vehicles in 7mm
scale, running
on 9mm track. These etched brass kits
include a saloon coach, luggage van and
ICL No 1 locomotive. Prices are £25 each for the coach
and van, and £20 for the locomotive. The coach and van
include
bogies and wheels; ICL No 1 is intended to fit on the Bachmann U36B
chassis. These were last
available in the mid-1990s and provide an excellent introduction into
modelling these railways at this scale. Further extensions to
the
range are intended, depending on interest.
02/04/2008:
As the result of significant interest, a limited
edition
production run of waterslide transfers for Highland Railway
locomotive insignia should be available late Summer.
These
are the results of considerable research and are undoubtedly the
most accurate for this era. All known examples of original
transfers have been examined and scans of these have been used as the
basis for current artwork. The majority are unused and have
been
stored in archives since 1909! Currently it is intended to
produce these sets in 7¼", 5", 2½", 1 & 0 gauges.
To complement this, we intend to
produce lining and boiler bands for
the Jones II and Drummond I liveries.
Initially in 5" gauge, this could be available in other
scales,
subject to demand. Should this be of interest, please reserve
your set today as this will be a strictly limited production run.
01/01/2008:
We have acquired the Jackson Evans
range
of 4mm scale etched smokebox numberplates, for both LMS and BR eras.
These are essential for any locomotive modeller in 4mm scale
and
we are glad to help maintain availability of supply. It is
taking
a little time to organise the stock (over 1500 items in the range), but
preliminary
lists are now available.
