Vintage &
classic car parts for sale
With
a successful model railway business to manage, I have not enough time
to bring the following projects to completion. I've had fun
collecting the parts, with trips round the country to get in before the
scrap man. However, I would now like the space for other things
and so this is all available for reasonable offers. Parts are
stored in more than one site, so please get in touch
before hiring a trailer. Most are located in Buckinghamshire,
although some of the Chevrolet parts are in Nottinghamshire.
Chevrolet model T ton truck project, c1927.
This lorry started
off working in a quarry in Louth (Lincs) as part of a fleet of 4.
Recovered some years ago, this would either yield useful spares or
the start of an interesting project. This is not a Ford model T,
although some Ford parts such as wheels and bodywork are probably easily
adaptable for use with these parts.
This
consists of : 2 pairs of axles; torque tube; prop shaft;
rusty remains of chassis frame plus better condition dumb irons and rear spring hangers; steering column and steering box
(right hand drive version); steering box to chassis bracket (RHD
x2), frost damaged engine block, and various engine parts.
I have various repair manuals for the truck and 490 which may assist in their restoration.
Chevrolet 490 chassis parts:
Bare
engine block, believed good; inlet manifold with later carb; front
half of chassis frame (last used under a saw bench) virtually
rust free and ideal for repair or special; spare wheel carrier suit saloon car.
Hillman Minx:
I have the remains of at least 6 cars which had been broken for spares.
Having not found the time to make an open-topped touring
'special' from these parts, the time has come to get the garage back
and concentrate on other projects. I also have various owner's handbooks and repair manuals.
Small parts: I
probably have around half a ton of assorted
minx parts and some are more accessible than others. The majority
are from unknown cars although appear to be ex pre-war hillman Minx and came with the larger parts below.
If there
is something which is keeping your Minx off the road, I'll try to help.
Otherwise bring a trailer as I want the space back!
1946 Minx: Rear axle, NOS springs, NOS front wing
1941 Minx:
Various chassis & body parts, including engine; gearbox; pair
of axles; springs, prop shaft; front wings; radiator housing etc.
1939 Rolling chassis: with matching engine, and brown log book.
In need of significant welding, but probably restorable.
1937/8 Minx: Windows and surrounds, dashboard (steel)with gauges etc; engine, gearbox, rear
axle, electrics
1936 Minx:
Bare chassis frame rust free, but missing front cross member due to
'custom car treatment'; gearbox; springs; bonnet; radiator
shell.
'Customised'
1936 Minx body shell and doors: The body has had somewhere
between 2 - 3 inches removed from the roof pillars by a previous owner.
The doors have been similarly modified to match and fit the
door apertures. My original intention was to remove the roof
altogether and create a tourer. This body shell would suit
either a 'special' builder or hot rod enthusiast. What is
there is pretty solid and feels too good to scrap.
